Poker is one of the best known and most widely played casino games in the world. There are various modes like Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Stud and many more.

The winner is usually the player with the highest rank hand, also called the showdown, or the player who makes the last bet that does not take a call, which wins without going to the showdown. There are several types of plays, such as:

• Royal Flush
• Straight flush
• Four of a kind (poker)
• Full house
• Flush
• Straight
• Trio
• Two Pairs
• A couple
• High card

How to play Poker

After the game starts, each player has several actions that he can follow according to what he wants:
Check (pass) – refuse the opportunity to start betting. It can only be done when there are no bets during the current round.

Bet – the player can bet if no other player has bet during the current round. When the bet is made the other players must call to match the bet amount and stay in the game.

Fold – the player abandons their cards during the current game.

Call – the player may call if another player has bet during the current round. The caller must match the highest bet.

Raise – players may raise if any other player during the current move has already bet. The player who raises will have to match the highest bet and make a higher bet. All players will have to call or raise to stay in the game.
The game continues clockwise.

The different types of poker have different betting rounds. Only Texas Hold’em and Omaha have identical betting rounds with four rounds known as preflop, flop, turn and river.

The pre-flop betting round begins as soon as all players have received their cards before any community cards are dealt. Pre-flop bets occur only after the first three community cards are dealt. The turn starts after the fourth community card and the river after the fifth card.

In each round of betting, bets continue until all players have equalized bets or folded. When the betting round is completed, the next round of card / betting starts or the hand is completed.
